OUR MESSAGE FOR TODAY’S SUNDAY SERVICE ON 6/1/2014 IS: THE MYSTERY OF WATER TURNED TO WINE / TEMPLE COURTS CLEARED BY JESUS:

SUBJECT: THE FULFILLMENT OF GODS PROMISES TOPIC:THE MYSTERY OF WATER TURNED TO WINE AND TEMPLE COURTS CLEARED BY JESUS DATE: SUNDAY JUNE 1, 2014 READING SCRIPTURES: JOHN 2:1-25 THE MYSTERY OF WATER TURNED TO WINE /TEMPLE COURTS CLEARED BY JESUS: 1. The fulfillment of Gods promises to us begins with the first miracle Jesus did when he turned water into wine at a wedding in Galilee, even-though his time has not come, but the mother told the waiters to do whatever he asked them to do, Sometimes some things may look foolish and meaningless from the word of the ministers but when they asked you to do it, do it with your hearts for the fulfillment of Gods promises to come to pass in your life. See verses 1-5 2. Whatever you are doing in life, if Jesus is not in it, the best will not come out of it. The ceremonial stone Jars were the pots that were used for water, and the six stone jars were empty, and Jesus said fill them with water and serve your guests. It sounds foolish and stupid but it was the best wine of the day. What do we learn from here, it means that whatever you are doing in life, if Jesus is not in it you will not be fulfilled, I now ask you to invite Jesus into your business, job, career, home, and ministry? See verses 6-10. 3. The glory of God came down with the fulfillment of his promise that signs and wonders shall follow them that believe because of this first miracle of Jesus. Let’s assume that the earthly Mother of Jesus and the waiters did not believe in him or did not heed to his instructions how would the wine turn to water to be classified as the best wine of the day. We have to obey God and his servants at all times for our good. See verses 11-12. 4. Today in this age and in civilized world mostly, some churches has been turned to a place of business, robbers dens, drunkards joint, adulterers to meet, trick stars to manipulate people, and evil men to carry out their evil operations, should it be so? Jesus cleared the Temple when he noticed that in his father’s house and put a stop to it, what are you doing to protect the church of God from disrepute, shame and blackmails or are you part of those bringing bad name to the church of God? Repent now or the clock is tickling before it is too late. See verses 13- 17. 5. It is very important for you to know that they that do good works for the Lord will always be challenged by evil men, to prove the source of their power and the authority in which they do what they do. When you are challenged, be not afraid, for he that started a good work in your life will bring it to a fulfilled end. Jesus was challenged by the Jews and even asked on whose authority he clears the temple; he answered them that if they destroy the temple now he will rebuild it in three days. Can you speak with authority when you are challenged? If not, begin today. See verses 18-19. 6. They evil men and evil doers are good at talking too much, but are not able to do anything, because they lack the power to function, but they that walk in the spirit of God like Jesus are good at talking less and doing more, that means their actions speaks for them. Which one are you? They Jews said it took them 46 years to build the temple and Jesus said he was going to rebuild it in three days, they could not understand the word of God because they walk in ignorance and assumptions. Jesus was referring to his death and resurrection on the third day but they could not get it why, because they do not know that when they are destroying the temple, they are destroying Jesus. Are you one of them? Repent today to be fulfilled and inherit they promise of God. See verses 20-22 7. I have to let you know that they love of Jesus for us and the signs and wonders he performs even at the Passover festival was not to show up or take glory for himself, but for the fulfillment of the Scriptures. Do you read the word of God your Bible; do you study and receive the word inside of you, so as for it to be functional and operational in your life? Jesus needed no testimony from anybody, but all he wanted is for us to give him the reason to trust us as true children of God. He knows your inside and outside. Worship him today and be part of the fulfillment of all his promises. Amen. 8. My prayer for you today is to receive the Anointing, to walk in the fulfillment of Gods promises, so that nothing can be impossible to you and your family till eternity in Jesus name Amen. John 2:1-25 New International Version (NIV) Read below: Jesus Changes Water Into Wine 2 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” 4 “Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.[b] 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. 8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” 11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. 12 After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days. Jesus Clears the Temple Courts 13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”[c] 18 The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?” 19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” 20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken. 23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.[d] 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.Watch out for our JUNE 2014 daily words of Exhortations on "EMPOWERMENT FOR THE FULFILLMENT OF GODS PROMISES IN YOUR LIFE" TOMORROW JUNE 2, 2014.
