BIBLICAL FRUITS & PRINCIPLES FOR SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE PART 5. 1 Peter 3:1-2 King James Version (KJV) Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Men are rarely persuaded to do anything with a good attitude when they feel “nagged” into it. Wives should be sensitive to those times when “discussion” begins to sound like “nagging” from the husband’s perspective. Most men will quickly “crumble” and desperately try to please his wife when she behaves in a gracious, submissive, and wise fashion! When women try to persuade their husbands do what they need at all times, it sends a bad signal to the man, indirectly signaling to him that the woman is taking over the position of the head of the family or the priest/prophet of the home. Women should be very careful not to cross this red line because it is given to the husbands by the Almighty God. All Women should take note of this if they want to enjoy their marriages. Behave in a gracious manner by being obedient to your own husbands, and then you will get all you need or desire without asking for it. Let us walk in the wisdom of God.
