OUR MESSAGE FOR TODAY’S SUNDAY SERVICE ON APRIL 19, 2015 IS: 1 JOHN 4:1-21 THE LOVE OF GOD THAT INCREASES OUR TERRITORIES: 1. The message for us today is specially designed to increase our territories, only if we can discern between the flesh and walking in the Spirit of God. Hereby are things we need to observe in this journey of our salvation in other to increase our territories as follows: a) Do not believe every spirit but test the spirits if they are from God b) Be informed that false prophets are operating in the world c) Test every spirit if the are from God before submitting to them d) Any spirit that do not confess Jesus is not from God, run from them e) This is how to identify the spirit of Anti-Christ and false prophets f) When you see such spirit know that it is the Anti-Christ in the world g) As a child of God you have overcome the world through Jesus h) Know that he that is in you is greater than he that is in the world i) Know also that your increase and enlargement is irreversible j) Those from the world speak the language of Satan and are defeated k) We are from God, whoever knows God listens to us and increases l) Who ever that does not know God will not listen to us and decreases m) This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood See verses 1-6 2. One of the key factors to our increase is love, and not just love but the love of God and humanity. Love cares, cherishes, admires, forgives, gives, does not discriminate, does not divide, does not hate, does not rejoice for evil deeds but condemns it. Love opens the windows and doors of heaven to pour out blessings that you will not have enough rooms to contain it, which will increase your territories and enlarge your coasts. When you love, it proves that you know God and that you are born of God. The Almighty God demonstrated love to us by sending Jesus on our behalf to give us life. See verses 7-10 3. Take note here whoever loves must demonstrate it like God did. Because love is not in words but in deed, without the demonstration of love, it is not in existence. So it means that we have to love one another to demonstrate our love to God because no mortal has seen God but when we love, we are like him the immortal God and inherit all the blessings in the benefit package of our salvation. When we love, he lives in us and us in him and his spirit lives in us. See verses 11-13 4. When we love, we must not be ashamed to testify that Jesus is the son of God and that the father sent him to redeem us. We must be proud to share the good news to all that Jesus Christ is Lord, and as we do that we increase physically, spiritually financially etc. When we acknowledge that Jesus is the son of God and our saviour he lives in us and we in him, then we will rely on the love of God till eternity and the love of God is made complete in us and we will have confidence in him on the day of judgement. See verses 14-17 5. Finally let me exhort you today; the world we live in now is full of humans who lives in fear, stress, anxiety, guilt, confused, in pains and sorrow, because they live in fear, but do not know that perfect love casts out fear, because fear is torment. When you love, fear will run away from you. Those who walk in fear are not perfect in love. We love because God first loved us and releases all heavenly blessings to us. That is why he said that whoever that does not love his brethren whom he sees daily how then he can love God whom he has not seen. Please I challenge you not to be a liar but to love your brethren and open your heavenly blessings through your love. See verses 18-21 6. My prayer for you today is to receive the Anointing power of Gods love that will increase your territories and keep your heaven permanently open in Jesus name Amen. Read below: 1 John 4:1-21 New International Version (NIV) On Denying the Incarnation 4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the anti-Christ, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood. God’s Love and Ours 7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
