OUR MESSAGE FOR TODAY SUNDAY SERVICE ON 9/21/2014 IS: SUBJECT: LIVING A LIFE OF GOOD SUCCESS TILL ETERNITY TOPIC: THE KEYS TO TRUE PROSPERITY & GOOD SUCCESS DATE: SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 21, 2014 READING SCRIPTURES: 2 PETER 3:1-18 (NIV) HEREBY ARE THE KEYS TO TRUE PROSPERITY & GOOD SUCCESS: 1. The number one key to true prosperity and good success is: “HEARING” from God and “IMPLEMENTING” that which you hear from him into your life. When God gives instructions to you whether it makes sense or not carry out what you are instructed to do. Abraham was asked to live his fathers land which is the comfort zone to go to an unknown destination, Moses was asked to live Egypt where he is supposed to be the next pharaoh (King) to rule the world comfort zone, live his wife and two children to lead the Israelites to the promise land and both men obeyed God and fulfilled their purpose in life. Abraham became the father of faith and Moses became the meekest man that ever lives on this planet earth. What about you? Are you doing what God ask you to do? Are you after your comfort? Think again today and begin to obey God. See verses 1-4 2. Key number two is: “SERVICE”; that is services to God and Man. Joshua excelled in serving his master Moses with humility and dedication to the nation of Israel in the wilderness, and was also a man of prayer known as prayer warrior today. He puts God first in every matter to the extent that when Moses died, there was no question as to who the mantle of leadership should fall on but him even at his young age where older men were there, he was chosen by God and Man to lead. Can you confidently say how God sees you as a leader and how people around you see you too? The answer to that question will determine if you will walk in true prosperity and good success. See verse 5 3. Key number three is: “TRUST”. Can you be trusted by God like he trusted the lives of the whole nation of Israel in the hands of Joshua, including their inheritance? Unquote “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them” The Sovereignty trusted Joshua to execute all he commanded him to do for his people humanity and to him. Trust plays a key role to true prosperity and good success See verse 6. 4. Key number four is: MEDITATING UPON THE WORD OF GOD DAY & NIGHT”. Many folks today in this generation believe that success and prosperity can be achieved through hard work, and by crook or hook, in other words do anything it takes by all means to get what you want, in other words to do anything to get money because that is their own yard stick to measure success and prosperity. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying that hard work is not good, but I am not talking about that here, I am teaching “TRUE PROSPERITY & GOOD SUCCESS”. It might interest you to know that there is no other way to true prosperity except to meditate upon the word of God day and night to discover the wisdom of God to walk in true prosperity and good success. The difference between the two is very clear like crystal. See verses 7-8 5. Key number five is: “BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS”. I want you to lend your ears and eyes to me here, take this counsel today and enjoy true prosperity and good success all the days of your life. Most people have misinterpreted being strong and courageous to being brutal to steal, kill, destroy, oppress, humiliate, extort and betray thereby carrying out the agenda of the enemy Satan. I am not talking about the wicked ones here, but I am talking about being strong in the Lord to possess your possessions and courageous to do what is right and just in the sight of God irrespective of the challenges, trials, temptations, standing before you to do what is evil, but you say no to it, and stand for what is right before God and man and fight for it till the end. Those who fights and stand against what is evil and wrong are they that are strong and courageous, and this type of battle is not by flesh but in the spirit. See verses 9 -11 6. Key number six is: “DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE”. When you walk with God, you must learn to see only the possible and doing the possible, you must also learn to see the reversibles and not the irreversible. Many have failed to fulfil their purpose in life because they failed to see why they are here on earth, they only thing they could see is problems here and there and never see any good thing in their lives, this is the trap of the enemies to hold you in fear to be in one place and never to move forward. They are good at seeing the Red Sea and would like to return to Egypt, good at seeing River Jordan and will prefer to be in the desert, good at seeing the giants in the land and afraid of possessing their possessions, but I tell you today rise up above what ever that is before you and put it under your feet, then you will know that the God you serve is a mighty man in battle who have never lost any battle. When he say move please do move. And possess your possessions and inherit your inheritance. See verses 12-15 7. Key number seven is: “OBEYING THE INSTRUCTIONS OF YOUR LEADERS” I want to summarize this message with this point number seven which is very important for those of you out there who want to walk in true prosperity, good success, possess their possessions and inherit their inheritances, You just have to know who your leaders are, and do everything to protect them at any given time, I am talking of leaders who have the fear of God in them and do the will of God at all times to protect their people even laying down their lives like Jesus laid for us. Know that a leader is called, chosen and anointed by God to be in that position of leadership. When you ridicule your leader, you ridicule yourself without knowing. Many have failed to fulfil their purpose in life because they gossiped with their leader. Be warned for God fights for his leaders. See verses 16-18 8. My prayer for you today is to receive the Anointing power to walk in true prosperity and good success. And also be strong and courageous in Jesus name Amen. Read below: Joshua 1:1-18New International Version (NIV Joshua Installed as Leader 1 After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. 5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. 7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” 10 So Joshua ordered the officers of the people: 11 “Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you for your own.’” 12 But to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said, 13 “Remember the command that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you after he said, ‘The LORD your God will give you rest by giving you this land.’ 14 Your wives, your children and your livestock may stay in the land that Moses gave you east of the Jordan, but all your fighting men, ready for battle, must cross over ahead of your fellow Israelites. You are to help them 15 until the LORD gives them rest, as he has done for you, and until they too have taken possession of the land the LORD your God is giving them. After that, you may go back and occupy your own land, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise.” 16 Then they answered Joshua, “Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. 17 Just as we fully obeyed Moses, so we will obey you. Only may the LORD your God be with you as he was with Moses. 18 Whoever rebels against your word and does not obey it, whatever you may command them, will be put to death.
