THE COST OF BEING A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST, TO WALK IN WONDERS AND PROSPERITY.

LWFM EXHORTATION FOR THE MONTH OF WONDERS & PROSPERITY TUESDAY 3/11/2014 IS:LUKE 14:23-27 Friends, our exhortation for today is focused on “THE COST OF BEING A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST, SO AS TO WALK IN WONDERS AND PROSPERITY.” I want to take you to another level of walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, which is very important for all those that love the Lord to know and walk in it. That aspect is called “COST”. Have you asked yourself what it will cost you to be healthy, successful, educated, respected, honored, and fulfilled? If not, then you are living a careless life. It is very important in life for you to ask yourself what it will cost you to get whatever you need or desire. Examples on what it will cost you to be healthy, you have to take care of your body physically and spiritually thereby eating good food, watching your weight and praying regularly to commit your life in Gods hands. To be successful and educated, you have to go to school, study, learn a trade, graduate or qualify in your area of specialization so as to get a good job or run a successful business in your area of specialization. The cost always comes first before success and prosperity. It is disheartening to note that most folks in this generation do not want to pay the cost for anything first to succeed or prosper in life, but they want to have good things of life by all means. Let us narrow it down today on the cost of being a disciple of Jesus Christ; Many Christians have relationship with God only when it is convenient. They come to church when it is convenient. They pray when it is convenient. They read the Bible when it is convenient. They allow unnecessary things to get in the way of their relationship with Jesus Christ to hinder them from worshipping him in truth and spirit. I want you to hear the word of God for the inconveniences. “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters yes, even their own life, such a person cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” I pray that you will not put anything first before God, so as to walk in wonders and prosperity as a disciple of God. Read below: Luke 14:23-27 New International Version (NIV). 23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. 24 I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’” 25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. 27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
